How close do you have to be when adjusting the APPS? The unit is printed

. 420 and the closest I can get is . 423. I cannot imagine that 3/1000th of a volt dc is that important. Moving and releasing the accelerator cable never results in the same reading when returning to the 'home' position. I may be off as much as . 01 vdc.

Considering that you have a manual truck, you don't have to be close at all.

Adjusting the APPS voltage matches the APPS to the PCM, which controls the TC lockup and OD in an auto equipped truck. Not much of a factor for a stick.

The ECM automatically adjusts to the high and low volts of an APPS. No adjustment necessary on manual transmission trucks. Just turn on the key, slowly press the pedal to the floor, and release.
