I got past the heat exchanger issue and now need to change the belt. Reading through some previous posts I'm still not sure if I only need my 1/2" breaker bar to release the tension and simply place the new one on. Or is there more to it with removing other parts ? Right now, I just need to get a new belt on while I order the rest of the associated parts from Genos or Cummin's or Mopar. .

Yup, if your not replacing any pulleys then a nice long 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar is all you need, its a pain to work in and out but no other tools needed. Also check to see if your truck has a belt routing diagram under the hood otherwise take a picture of how it goes, really annoying when you get it off and realize there's a few different ways it could go and there's no diagram, whoops.

Yup, learned that way back with my GMC. . OK, thanks for the help. I'm glad it was in the driveway this morning when leaving for work rather than on the road somewhere. A blessing in disguise and oddly enough, it was going to be one of my weekend projects this wknd. .
