Serpentine Shift Revisited

Few weeks back had problem with serpentine belt shifting toward air conditioning compressor, tearing up belt. Installed new belt and Practical Solutions HD pulley. Problem went away for a couple days then returned. Limped by for a week installing new belts every few days until parts arrived. Replaced complete tensioner assembly at a cost of $160 (moved HD pulley to new tensioner) and OEM belt. Problem is gone for good now. MEGARAM has pulled with no further problems for last 2-weeks. Just wanted to let everybody know in case you run into same problem.

Thanks, Megaram. Was the pulley arm moving?

The pulley tensioner arm moves a very small amount as it takes up tension in/out. The new tensioner does feel like it has a little more pull to it. All I know is that the problem is finally fixed (3-belts later)!
