check the sig..... i have an electronic transfer case as well.

Serv 4wd light comes on randomly for random amounts of time. sometimes the green light under 2wd will blink at me.

Dealer pulled codes that said... .

open circuit 2wd

open circuit 4wd

open circuit 4low

dealer cleared codes and sent me away not knowing what else to do.

5 minutes later the light is on again and the green light under the 2wd is blinking again. Dealer said they flat didn't know what was wrong... .come back next week.

Any ideas????

Have you been drivin in the nasty stuff , if so , you may have some of that in the control mec. , some disasemble & cleaning , contact cleaner also , intermitant electrical can be a pain to pin down .
But with a new truck they should be taking care of you , you may need to go over there heads to get them motivated to look harder at it , I remember seeing people sit out in front of the dealer with huge sighns , to get them to take care of things .

Dealer told me the switch in the cab ia causing mine to stay on all the time. Don't know if that helps, but the switch still works and the light has been on for around 2 years now. As long as the transfer case still goes in and out of 4X, I'm going to live with it.

I had the service manager, the service advisor, and the tech right there in my face for me to discuss this problem.

haven't been in 4wd in over a thousand miles and haven't been in the mud in over three thousand miles. I may try some electric grease though.

Find a different dealer.

You may want to check wireing, I had same problem with plug dealer had no referance for plug so I hard wired it myselfe doing away with plug. On my truck the plug is on the passenger side by the radiator. Hope this is some help. _______________
