The honey moon is over with my tradesman. My 17 3500 reg cab/long bed/2wd with only 9200 miles gave me a service warning for the brakes with an ABS and brakes light indicator on the dash.
Went to the dealer and the tech put the computer on and he showed me the general electrical failure on the ABS controller and solenoid? module.
They are ordering a new one on warranty, but I am calling this "strike one". On my 96 2500 5.9 12V CTD I refused the "extended warranty". I told the guy if I felt I need it, I would not buy this truck. On my 96, I would have bought a new one if I could. 234,000 trouble free until now with only a bad diverter valve on the injector pump. I will change it soon.
I had to settle for the 2017 3500. I have been hounded endlessly by FCA with solicitations by mail and email to buy their extended warranty. If I get to strike three I'll sell it and go back to the 96.
Happen to anyone else?
