OK just got a 2016 2500 6.37 ccsb auto 4x4

and today while driving an error flashed across my dash(speedo area) reading SERVCIE ELECTRIC BRAKE
then after about a minute the BIG lettered saying went away, and and small Icon to the left of the sped reading area

this stayed on for about a half hr, when I shut truck off, re started and it was still there, after a few more runs today(stop start while out and about) the icon error went away
truck as 2,000 miles and change on it
NOTHING seems wrong
any clue as to what this error means
do I need to get to a dodge dealer??

thanks in advance, appreciate the help

Don't worry about it. most of them will throw a false code from time to time. the ECM may have read a code then it self corrected. I had that happen when in Europe last year . Got home after 2 wks started the truck and it flashed the same thing,It also said my antilock was screwed up. Went around and checked the wheel sensors all ok. Investigated in the transmission tunnel and a bunch of wires had been shredded . I knew exactly who the culprit was . My little Dachund chasing mice couldn't get to em so he shredded my wires in a frenzy! Did it to a driving light on my 06.Just thought i'd share that story.

Service electric brakes sounds like a warning about the brakes on a trailer you are towing. There are no electric brakes on the truck. If you didn't have a trailer with electric brakes attached, inspect your trailer plugs to make sure you don't have water or debris in there. Otherwise you may have a problem with your trailer tow package.

Check the simple stuff first, like the plugs.

thanks, and NO didn't have a trailer hooked up, heck haven't had a trailer hooked up yet, so haven't even opened the cover off the plug in.
error has yet to come back on since that error that day
SO< will see??
maybe it was a glitch or a brain fart
SO many electrical gadgets on these things today,?????

My 14' did the same thing, it showed before I pulled a trailer thought it was a twitch or something, then hooked up my camper a few weeks later and it came on and off again the entire time I was pulling a trailer, which little did I know really sucks because when that is lit up on your screen, you have no electric trailer brakes, so that made my trip pulling my 44' trailer a little interesting. Long story short after the dealership not finding it I went through some things and found the electric brake wire on the back of my plug on the bumper loose and not staying in the connector that hooks to the plug. I bent some of the prongs out to hold it in the connector and no more problems. Might be worth a check if if comes back on.

I also plan to take a picture of it on display too if it happens again too
then can have a little proof to show them LOL
didn't have time to pull over to do it this time, and didn;t really even think of doing it??
SO< since we all seem to have dam camera phones that will make this deal a little easier too!!
