Chrysler Service Manuals

These are the telephone and fax numbers for Chrysler to order factory service manuals. I just replaced the main shaft in my NV4500HD, and could not have done it without the manual. Has all the wiring diagrams (118 pages), all the breakdowns. Costs less than a tenth as much as a new stainless exhaust system.

Service manual cost

Clay,

I paid $60 for a manual for my '94. I have heard on some of the new models, as high as $100. I have owned Chilton's (mostly useless imo) Haynes (a bit better) and end up buying factory manuals on everthing I own. Just about every question I see on how to work on a factory part is in the manual. Electrical is impossible without it. Dodge engineers do lots of strange things. Gears that LOOK symetrical aren't, etc. Most of the 4" stainless turbo back exhausts run $800 to $1400. Heavy duty, will last a long time. Gauges are just the start, and very necessary for Bombing. Have fun!!!:D

When I got mine in June 01 I ordered the manuals (all 3) right out of the back of the owners hand book. About $130, So far Ive only had to use the main manual - the body & electrical one's haven't a smudged page yet. for the extra $30 go for the full set - you'll wish you did some late night when you need it ;)

Agree, Chilton is only good for whiping . . . . things. Used to be decent back in the day (pre 80's).

I got mine on CD. Took 3 1/2 hours to print it all on two sided print job. Just be aware, the print job is 2255 pages single sided.

When I have trouble sleeping at night I read a section and actually makes for some good reading.

I'm in the process of doing gauges. The the diagrams plus the threads here make it seem like you have done the job once for familiarity before you start the job the first time.

I got mine here,

www.techauthority.daimlerchrysler.com

It is very thick and I took the book apart and discarded stuff I didn't need like the gas engine and Auto trans stuff and put all the pages in 3 ring binders with plastic sleeves , I used 5 2" binders to cordon off sections like engine, electrical, etc.

web address for service manuals

Hey Rweis,

What is the web address where you found the manual to print? I'd really like to print it!

Thanks!

I bought the cd from the tech manual web site cited above. It was not posted in full text on a web site. Sorry if I was not clear. I wanted the cd so I could put it on a computer as well as print it out.
