Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Setting timing?

I am trying to advance my timing but I can't get the pin to engage in the gear to find tdc! Any advise? I have been nearly all the way around but I cant find it. Is there another way to get it?

watch to valve's on number one cylinder if you don't have a make on you balancer to tell you where tdc is if you have already marked a mark and still can't get it you are 180 out spin motor till mark comes around again.



but the easiest way is the watching the intake and exhaust vavle on number one cylinder.
