Beats Me To Deaf!!????

Tow/Haul mode question.

I'm about to buy one of these www.sewersolution.com

I would appreciate any info some of you have about this device.

I plan to use it at home where my sewer dump is on a slight uphill grade. I'm thinking this will work. What do you think?

Thanks

I have one

I used an electric macerater from Jabsco but it went south after a few years so in went the water activated one

The electric one was great and powerful & was better on the road where no high pressure tap water was available. No problems pumping uphill.

The advantage of the water propelled is it cleans the system out better by adding water pressure to the waste while draining the sewer. The disadvantage is sometimes the water pressure 'on the road' is sometimes to low to be as efficient as it's suppose to be - if you got good water pressure it works well.

Either one is sooo much better than gravity drain

I will NEVER go back cus i'm picky about where I put my hands

I have not used one my self, but I know others that have and like them. They use it in place of the big blue hose, thats all I know:)

If the big blue hose breaks I can fix it.

Can you fix this with the tools you carry?

One of the reasons I never went to a electric sewer pump. It breaks, and then what?

The reason I don;t use one is that it would hang down to far on my 5th wheel or take it off every time and then where to put it,but I did not want to rain on the mans perade:)

The way I see it, I plan to keep the "big blue hose" just in case.

Both the electric & water powered ones came off just like the blue sewer hose & are very compact ( smaller than a 2 liter bottle of soda ). I store them next to the 3 " wast gate in my 5th wheel. They might even fit in the hollow bumper-the Jabco electric one did. I never leave them attached when traveling. Just like I never leave the blue hose attached. They slip & twist on & off the same posts that the blue hose does.

Your right you can always use the blue one for a back-up (though I never had to) or to remind you how messy life was before. I like them so much that when my electric one went south I made sure that I got the water powered one puchaced to use before the next dump became neccisary.

Anyway I don't think that you would find anyone that actually has one tell you that they prefer the blue hose to it.

My vote (from someone who has dumped many of time both ways) is to get one & try it.

I love mine. I did a lot of research before I purchased it and most folks said that you could easily pump a few feet uphill. I believe this to be true, but mostly pump about a hundred feet slightly down hill with mine.

And a BIG BTW; Great customer service! One of the ears broke off of mine and with one call they sent a new part with no questions asked or return required.

Only other RV product company that good on customer service is the Fantastic Fan folks. I had a racoon try to come through mine and wrecked the wiring, screen, and gasket. Called them to order the parts and when I finished with my order, I tried to give him my credit card number and he said "We'll cover it". Now that's service!!

Super product!

One of the first accessories I bought for my camper was a Sewer Solution. It works well and I much prefer it to the standard 3" gravity assisted dump line.

The downside, other than the need for a pressurized water source to operate it, is that it's a little slower than the "standard" dump method.

On the up side, it will pump uphill (about 36" if I remember right) and the water jet nozzle swivels so that you can back flush your black water tank. After the contents of the black tank are gone, the SS's drain line is automatically cleaned out by the pressurizing water. It's altogether cleaner and neater to handle.

I've read of individuals connecting 1" PVC piping to the SS outlet and pumping a long ways with it. Some use it to dump into their home's sewer system.

I bought a 45* clear elbow and install it ahead of the SS on the camper's drain connector. It saves wear and tear on the SS's connector tabs and it also makes it easier to monitor progress.

I bought mine directly from Sewer Solution as a factory reconditioned unit. Saved a few $$$ and it works as good as new.

One of the best things I've picked up for the camper thus far.

Now the brass tacks. What does it cost. I never even heard of this before but since I'm in the market for an RV, this sounds like one of those "must have's".

SewerSolution Model V System(s) $75 each (+$6 shipping)

10' Extension Hose(s) $20 each (+$4 shipping)

This price is for their factory reconditioned unit.

It's found on the link above.

I have broken the tabs off on at least 4 of them. I still like the system but wish they would make them better.

Well I bought the Sewer Solution and it looks like a good and well made product. I have not used it yet though.

Couple of questions for those that have used it.

Can I add a standard garden hose to the hose that came with the sewer solution reach my sewer dump in front of the house?

Thanks... :D

Use a 3/4" hose if any. I think they recommend a 1" if it's more than 50'. I bought a 1" barb to hose thread adaptor from home depot and now it works even better.
