SF CA bay area smog referral needed

I put this in general diesel topics but only got one reply for the east bay. So I'm going to try some other, more frequented, sections of the form.



The California government nazi's are inching ever closer to totalitarianism. I now have to smog my truck.



Are there any TDR member recommended testing stations on the San Francisco mid-Peninsula? I live in San Carlos.

As long as your truck is stock and had everything it was built with it will pass, I had to have my 2008 dodge done last year, no problums, went right through. The bayarea seems to be the worst on smog checks

Your Signature says 98 ? In the Sac Valley, I live in Lodi, but take my truck to Rio Vista Dodge the Service writter is great, Steve. You may be under a different set of laws in the Bay Area but here for now it is just a lookie-lou, There is no test for now just a visual that everything is on the truck and such. It is a joke... ..... I had my 04 tested just before I traded it on a 010.

thanks for the info Greg. They've done some work for me when the folks next door (right next door for those not local to the area) let me down and refused to do warranty work on tires I bought from them as they don't sell/service 19. 5" tires/wheels anymore.



My wife came over to the east bay today for lunch with my daughter and she brought Olga (my faithful hardworking truck) and I'll have smog done at the TDR recommended place in Fremont less than 2mi from my office. We lilterally just got back from lunch and she's on her way now, but I'll keep Redwood General in mind for the next go around.

I think smog requirements are CA wide... . aren't they? I'm glad it's only visual... the full on test with the rollers makes me uneasy.
