I was driving down the road yesterday about 5pm and saw a red 3500 sport with ranchhand bumpers and about a 5" lift. The owner had taken off the 6 dually wheels and replaced them with 4 regular wheels with 33-35 inch tires. It looked like crap. The front and rear wheelbases were rendered the same. So the front stuck out like a foot and the back was sucked under the dually fender about 6". The brake drum was almost totally exposed. If you are a dually owner and are thinking of doing this, please slap yourself right now.

We have a few of "those" setups running around here. The bright side is they are all gassers and a few have wooden flat beds.

Nothing like carrying your own kindling with you. roflmao.

I've seen a couple of 4x4 dually's converted into Mexican Bass Boats around here.

Why buy a big a$$ 4X4 then drop the frame to 3" above the ground, kill the suspension, and put on tires 10 sizes to small? The only 4X4 in the world that gets stuck on a speed bump.

Swear to God I've seen it. Residential area in Aurora CO. 4X4 high centered on a speed bump:eek:

Well, I found out its story from the guy who works at the Brew Thru (drive through beverage store). It just got a 6" Skyjacker lift from a place called Coastal Offroad. The front tires are 12. 5" wide and the rears are 14. 5" wide. They look like 35" diameter.

I saw a similar set up at a truck show, but I was favorably impressed.

It was a 1500 Ram with a newer 'Viper' V-10 engine, and a 1 Ton fat butt Short Bed. However, instead of dually's, it had 15" slicks for rear wheels. The front had smaller, but custom rims and tires. It was all black and awesome.

How about this!

I saw an older gent in the parking lot of Grand Auto. . just outside the tire shop. He had just purchased a new set of mud and snow tires for his 2 wd with NO lift. The tires were so large (wide) that he could not turn the steering wheel because the tires would hit the lower corner of his fender.

To fix his problem... he goes back into the store and comes out with a hacksaw and then proceeds to cut the lower corner of the fender off so that his tires would clear...

Custom body work at its finest...
