How does one learn to drive a train?

I know Cummins owners like to know all the fact so I am posting an e-mail I received about the recent attack. However, prior to receiving the mail, I also heard this from a City Policeman and a local news reporter during two separate conversations so I tend to believe what Paul Harvey would say is "the rest of the story". Regardless of the facts, it is still a tragic experience for the boy.

"I Just received this and thought I'd pass it along... I don't know if

it's true or not.

There is a reason that the "hero" of the attack that wrestled that 7 foot shark to shore is not giving any interviews, and is hard to find. There is a reason that this 7 foot shark was in 2 feet of water, and there is a reason that the family is "acting funny" about taking money from those that want to help... . here it is..... hard truth... Sit down... .

THE UNCLE THAT WRESTLED THE SHARK ASHORE WAS FISHING FOR SHARKS, HAD IT ON A LINE AND HAD BEEN FIGHTING IT FOR TWO HOURS PLUS.

The unidentified stranger that helped him also helped him fight the fish to shore.

When the shark got into two feet of water, the kids all ran into the water in jubilation and the shark lunged from off the ground and hit Jessie Arbogast twice, took his arm off and bit into his leg. !!!!!!!

The man had CHUM in the water, and heavy tackle built to fish for

sharks.

His nephew got bit because the entire family went into the water trying to wrestle the fish to land. There is big money on a shark that size.

THIS IS THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH

The press has suppressed the real truth, because they are afraid that it will effect the contributions for Jessie and the uncle is so filled with guilt, he has tried to commit suicide once already... . Now it all makes sense. NO MAN is going to wrestle a shark that large to shore in two feet of water, that is one powerful animal, and they had cut the cable, and hide the rods by the time the Medic's got there.

The ranger that shot the shark testified that the shark still had the hook in his mouth and "put up a big fight because his mouth was all bloody and torn up"... . (that

is why the shark had blood all over it's mouth in the TV photo's, it was it's own blood !!)

I am not lessening the horror of the event. Jessie did get an arm bit off and is going to recover, but I am tired of Pensacola Beach taking it in the shorts because of the "whole truth not being told"... . The money, in my opinion would still come in, and the uncle will have to accept that it was a tragic accident and a mistake. "

Thanks for the info Tom, that all makes sense. I couldn't understand why the "Hero" that dragged this 7' shark to shore wasn't on every news channel, Dateline, and movie special of the week yet.

Living in Alabama not to far from the Gulf coast I've heard that shark attacks are pretty common in the gulf. Not often reported because it hurts tourism. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I do feel sorry for the young child.

I must have sensed a rat with that story, from the beginning. I didn't feel like it was real when it happened. That shark should have been spotted long before it reached the boy in shallow water. And I doubted that one man could grab a shark of any size by the tail and drag it to shore, without getting chomped up.

Makes more sense now

Like so many others, I felt the whole thing didn't make much sense. Thanks for the straight story. I'm not scared. My wife and I will be coming down to the beaches there as soon as the kids go back to school

Now the story makes sense to me. I wondered how someone could go into the water, find a certain shark, catch him, and wrestle him to shore. Now knowing he was still hooked and then reeled in makes sense to me. I wonder how many other stories hit the headlines with the "rest of the story" missing.

How many stories were written about clinton and his administration? :D

This story is very, very sad.

I just said to my wife a few days ago..... "Wife I wonder why we haven't heard about the uncle that dragged this 7 foot shark to shore?, now go make me some food" And she responded by saying "Master I am not sure why, but sounds kind of strange though, I'll make you a steak right away"

OK so the conversation probably didn't go exactly like that, but we were discussing it. Now the truth is out, I wonder who will be the first to report the whole story? Inside Edition? OR will this story just fade and the truth with it?

I have sensed something just seemed out of kilter ever since I heard the young boy's last name "Arbogast". Does that ring a bell with the fishermen on this board? Arbogast is/was I believe the name of a lure & tackle company, also the name can also be found listed in the credits as technical advisor or prosthetics mfr. for several Hollywood movies involving sharks or other various monsters of the deep. Strange but still true.

on the job

Seems strange we no longer get daily news updates on his condition. The story has just kinda gone away. Just goes to show you how the news media tries to manipulate the public.

If the afore mentioned facts are indeed true, this is a case of a fisherman that got injured on the job. Not long ago there were I believe six firefighters killed on the job and the media covered the story as just that. A police officer was killed by a bank robber in the Tampa area recently.

All these people were killed or injured doing what they do but its the media that tried to form our opinions and sentiments (remember who told you Gore had won Florida?).

I think the media should report the real facts and try to regain some credibility. JMHO

Tom

P. S. I don't believe in HEROS (my Dad was my only hero) but the firefighters and the policeofficer come as close as it gets.
