Ok I ordered a new 2022 3500 ho aisin regular cab 8 ft long box. My camper is 20 years old but still good and fits me and was built local for me. I’m 6 ft 6 and 300 lbs The camper builder is still here and will have to add 1.5 inches to the bottom of the camper. New truck cabs and box sides are about that much higher. Everything else he can do . 4 new tie downs and fast guns and a isolator plug in. And I’m good to go. I have the 8 inch screen coming on the new truck. No satellite radio in Alaska Now the sharks fin. Supposed to be on the front of the cab. Rather small compared to the ones on the Dodge 1500 maybe some 2500 crew cabs etc. I can’t have my sharks fin hitting on the bottom of my camper. If I had a fin on the front of my old 99 it would be to close. Can I move this and plug the hole if I need to. I need ideas. Thanks

Glad to hear your truck is moving along, you will really enjoy your new ride......

Agree with the above move camper up, but if that's not possible....

Just have them move it for you at dealer prep.

Let them know you need it moved it and should not be a major deal, it just plugs together and they have all sorts of little adapters and cables to make this work.

I would be amazed the camper mfg / upfitter could not figure this out, this has to come up often.

It's not a huge process and if they bust a clip or something small they walk over and grab it out of the bin and it's done with.

If you do it and it leaks or something your screwed over a simple little part.

If you need to do remove / install here is the 2021 procedure.

The fin should clear your camper just fine as it isn't on top of the roof. But be aware that radio reception is probably inferior with it as a buddy of mine reported with his new truck and camper.
He added a standard antenna to the fender to solve the problem but left the fin where it was.
