Shell resto

Can and how to paint a fiberglass camper shell. Have one of the same year as diesel chevy conversion and would like to resto the shell that was on truck. what would you use for primer/ paint or can this be done and not look like some POS thanks

I can be done and look great. I had one painted... . one I got from a boneyard and it came out mint.

Not sure what the guy used for primer, but fiberglass is easy to paint.

I would expect it would be quite similar to prepping and painting Bondo or any other fibreglass bodywork or repairs. As I understand the process: take your time, sand it clean, degrease the surface, prime it a few times, sand it gently, and spray on as little paint as you can to just cover the surface, and repeat several times. Oh, in case I forgot: don't rush, take your time.
