Well ladies and gentleman,

The old girl has a fire in her again. She runs much smoother than she used to. I have yet to put on the pdr 16cm housing and Fuel pin. Wanted to see how she ran with the stock setup and then make the switch. Will re torque the head bolts after a few cycles. Got to say it put a smile on my face to be back in the saddle. The 3200 gs sure made a nice improvement. It will really make the second to third shift much nicer when I am towing the 5er.

Glad you have her back together Dave. Have you noticed any difference with the new head on? Difference in boost or egt's? I would take it easy until you get it re-torqued then get us some numbers. I love my stage 2.

Well I got her retorqued this weekend. I ran her with the old 18 cm exhaust housing for a few trips to work. Boost was 22 for the high. Egt was hovering at 1000. Then latched on to the 5er and egts 1150, hard pull for 5 miles. Parked the fiver, and put on the 16 cm... . boost 22, egt 1150. Turned pump up 1/2 turn, boost 22, egts 1250 with PDR fuel pin.

My consensus... (not scientific) Porting, of course brings down egs, but my boost at cruise 70 mph is down to about 5 psi, as apposed to 8-10 with the stock head. The turbo spooled much faster, even with the 18. I think the old hc1 is at her end. I am sure some of you guys have gotten some more out of her, but I think with the porting, better flow, she is doing all she can. I previously saw a high of 26, on a cold day with the stock set up. The 3200 gsk is the one that really puts a smile on my face. Good god I hit 88 in 4th from a previous high of 67 mph.

All in all I am happy about how things turned out. My wallet has yet to recover...

A fool and his money are soon parted..... said Ben Franklen. But he wasn't a BOMBER. :D
