No one got any referrals on a good body shop or even potentially someone who would want to do a cab swap?...anywhere within a day drive of the southeast......

Hey Bill

I'll give my $0.02. Its a tough for some to do a blanket recommendation I would imagine since that's a big job,... I've only had so-so experience with body guys here in NC, and did my last body swap (bronco) on my own and farmed out the body/paint.... Its a complicated man hr intensive job. Best of luck to you, but the last 4 shops I've used I would not recommend for the scope of work you are asking for. It'd be costly at a minimum.

I find it a bit off putting that you're asking for other members to lay out their good name for your bodywork.

Have you completely forgotten that I sent you parts several months back that you haven't paid me for?

I put out my name & got that 2nd gen/P Cummins lift pump + Cummins MLS gaskets for you because you said you need them, and I paid the vendor (@ nascar mark) Mark Wilson of DieselTuff) a day after I shipped you those parts.

4 months later - I'm a bit tired of listening to "I don't have PayPal anymore" or "I couldn't make it to the PO on time to mail you a check" or "I mailed you a check but I don't know why it hasn't reached after 6 weeks" or "I can Western Union you or your nephew WillM the funds" or "I changed my mind & have decided to sell my second gen" & then complete radio silence.

Do the right thing & pony up the cash you owe me.

I’ve known Bill several years and any transactions we’ve had has been problem free. I know him as a standup guy. I know he works hard and is in business for himself with lots of business and many repeat customers. What I know of him doesn’t jive with what you’re posting.

I’m glad you chimed in.
Contact BillB, and ask him why he’s been a no go & no show these past few months.
Better yet, PM me for my PayPal details, and you can do the right thing on behalf of your friend.

- edited for clarity.

Hey Skippy, first you asked me to send a check to a guy in Tx in which I did and it was apparently never received. Second, I offered to wire you money so you'd have it in just a few hours and your reply was "nah, screw that", third, you're acting like a teenager on Facebook who's ranting, forth, did you not have your fill of scotch for the day?, fifth, this has nothing to do with bodywork, sixth, why don't you try giving me a direct name and address of YOU to get the $135 to instead of someone in Tx and some woman in Canada?, seventh, I'm not paying your add on charge for shipping that you have always said "I'll cover shipping". You can PM me your name and address on here and as soon as you do I'll send you your loot. Now keep this post on subject.

And Skippy, I never asked for the parts. You kept bugging me you were cleaning house and wanted rid of the parts and sent them then complained MOST guys pay beforehand.

I'm having a hard time deciphering your rambling paragraph, but here goes -

1/ The "guy" in TX is Will, who bought your transmission pre-paid based on my recommendation. This is in case you sent me a personal check in US$, which is a hassle to deposit into a Canadian bank. Correct, it was never received, I advised you to cancel it, & WU the $, which you never did. You know all this quite well.

2/ I asked you to send a USPS MO to my home address in Canada, & addressed to the missus in case you sent it registered mail, as I travel often. Again, you know this quite well.

3/ Not $135 - but $129.99 + $66 = US$ 195.99 - yes, just the parts money, as I covered shipping to you in March.

4/ You've had my name & address these past couple years, as we have transacted in the past.

So no need to insinuate you don't have my payment details, I offered you a few different options as you said you no longer have PayPal or a credit card.

It's unfortunate that this had to be aired on a forum, but when you don't reply to my texts over the past couple months, I didn't see any other recourse.

Yes, and I thought I was helping you out by sending them before you paid me in a week or so, like you mentioned you would.

I mentioned that most guys pay before parts are shipped, after month 2 rolled around ;-)

You can text me to settle up, now back to the bodywork in this thread.

Have a good day.

I just came across this. Chip did pay me for the parts, so I hope Bill will do the right thing & settle up with Chip. And 100% being in Canada, we are limited on payment options, that's why I only except PayPal.
