2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Shift diagram on 6-Speed stick

Does anyone know how to turn the shift diagram wheel around so that it is straight? Somehow mine has gradually turned so that it is now upside down. While I know the pattern, it bugs me being upside down. I also lend my truck out every now and then and most people have never driven a 6-speed!

Pop the cover off with a small screwdriver and use a dab of silicon RTV before replacing the diagram.

I've had my truck since Jan 2002 and my diagram has rotated completely around.

Mine was working it's way around to about the 9 o' clock position and was bugging me too. A dab will do ya'

hey if you notice guys it takes about 3000 miles to get around.

well almost two times around equals 5000 miles.

so what am i saying? time to change oil.

Mine has never turned at all. I ave a 01 with 31K and it stays put. One thing I do is I don't grab the stick, I use fingers and I push with the heel of my hand and pull down with my fingers . (thats how we were tought to drive a big rig stick-no syncro). I guess doing that, it has no push on that dial.....

thanks for all the responses. As far as using it as an oil change clock, I'm not yet halfway around with 11,000 miles on the Odo.
