I noticed one day when shifting my auto, the orange indicator seems to be broken or loose, as it is off a few notches. I. E. , when I shift to neutral or reverse, the indicator is still near park, and when I go into drive, 2nd, or 1st, the indicator moves to neutral, reverse, and drive respectivley. Any idea on how to fix it? I didn't want to start ripping off the dash just yet. I was also considering bringing it in for warranty, but I would rather fix it myself. Thanks in advance for the help!

If it's like my '95 there is a small loop of wire over a lever on the steering column. If the lever is bent (easy to do) then the indicator will be off. Just bend it so it's right. I don't see how it could have become bent unless someone has been under there. It's protected by the knee bolster. It's easy to get to. Just five screws that fasten the knee bolster in place below the dash.
