shift linkage adjustment A727

Hello folks,

Just bought a 1989 1st gen with the torqueflite 727 transmission. The transmission is very difficult to pull out of park and I believe the park rod is bent or is not seating properly. I have a date with the transmission shop on friday to get it looked at. My questions is, during one of my frustrating moments trying to get the transmission out of park i may have bent or pulled the transmissions shift linkage out of adjustment. do any of you have the procedures on how to adjust it properly, and any sources as to where to get new components if they are bent beyond repair? Also looking for where i can get new bushing and any parts that are wear items that i may need to replace. Any help would be appreciated.

Loosen the clamp on the shaft and push the trans end into park and the linkage end away from it till it stops. Tighten clamp
