Shift Rod Grommet on 05 dodge NV241 genII Transfer case

so i pull off the road and its wet from rain. Start to tear up some grass and reach dowm to pop it into 4h and the lever moves freely..... not hooked up... . bummer. tore up some grass gettin out.

Anyone have a part number handy. The shift rod is just hanging down in the skid plate!!!!!! ha ha. Glad it didnt get caught on the yoke for the universal joint. Looks like the grommet just wore out. Think im in 4wd much? A few month ago mabey!!

yeah. . had that happen to me about a year ago. . think they dry rotted.

Think the mark up is high enough?

I used a small pair of vice grips to go ahead and do what I needed to do... . then got some replacements when I got back to town.

Boy after putting the new one in, you would think there would be a circlip or something on the pin side... ...
