Shifter knob removal...

I bought an aftermarket shifter knob.

How do you get the oem 6 speed shift knob removed?

Take a small flat head scewdriver. Gently work you way around the the insert with the gear #'s on it and pry it out a little at a time. Just don't pry too hard and it will come out in perfect shape ready to reinstall if the need should arise. Under the insert in a nut. Remove it then spin the shift knob as it is threaded too.
