The shifter lever on my 93 auto has recently lost the detents in 2nd, N, and drive. Anybody had experience with this problem. My FSM isn"t real clear on this but it looks like detents are in the valve body. Thsmld in advance, and by the way, Where the heck do buckeyes come from, anyways!!

... ..... from a tree, no less.

Jezz-o-Man! You'd think people would know this by now!!!

BTW the detents are in the valve body. Maybe your likage is unhooked somehow???? Does your trayy still shift into the "ranges"

Thanks Pastor. I thought I had another "senior moment" and forgot to hit the submit button or something! I was hoping someone would have a simple fix, but it looks like I'll have to pull the v. b. and replace the spring and ball. The truck is drivable, just have to be real careful to get the lever in the right spot or I end up in neutral, 2nd or somewhere in between. Didn"t really need another project... just got done R&R on two injector pumps and six injectors. Don't know which was worse, the mechanical work or the bill from the pump shop. Greenleaf; Us Hoosiers are still struggling with simple stuff like where babies come from. Complicated stuff like buckeyes really gets our panties in a wad. By the way, my son just posted on the general diesel topics a question about how to get more HP ffrom the cummins in his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Looks like the BOMBING bug has even struck in Baghdad!! The TDR has a global presence I guess.

YEP! Now and again I have to "Head West" to straighten out the neighbors to the left of me. There are some pretty loyal 1st genners out there in Hoosier Country. They just need some culture. Yeah... you know who you are..... LOL

Time being, I'm in the Everglades. These folks down here need lots of help!!

Let us know what you have to do to fix it so we may all benefit. Us lazy auto drivers anyhow!

PS You had better show up for some of our first gen get togethers!!! That's not a request. It's an order!
