Shifting problems and slipping

Long story. My 93 D250 Cummins, 180,000 miles, is now having problems shifting 3/4 (a long delay, if it shifts at all) then it will shift back to 3 without increased demand. It also slips from time to time (forcing me to slow) when in overdrive gear especially, and most recently it also slips when in OD OFF.



I am a poor guy (or I would have a new tuck!), who needs to do as much of this kind of work as I can. Is this problem something I can diagnose? Can you help me with that? Thanks in advance,

servise the transmission

when is the last time the transmission was servised?

my 93 last sunday wouldnt even move in drive. i did a fluid and filter change and works well now. maybe thats all you need! do you pull heavy with it?
