I looked under the hood while fueling up and found two injectors shining. I checked them and it was diesel. Is this a problem? How do I fix it. I tried to tighten them, but I can't get a wrench to fit.
Leaks in injector lines will quicly get bigger. The pressure in the line will cut a bigger hole in the line real quick once it gets going. Its like taking a pressure washer to a sand castle. It will cut right through.
You could try loosening the injection lines and re-tightening them. Sometimes this is all they need to stop the leaks.
You'll need a 3/8" or 1/2" drive torque wrench
A 19mm 'crows foot' ( I use a 3/4" foot. It works fine. You're not
putting that much torque on the lines)
a couple different lengths of extensions.
Loosen and re-torque the lines to 22 ft lbs. ( a 1/2" drive torque wrench may not go that low) I will take you 10 mins.
If you need to buy a torque wrench, and the tools above, then I wouldn't bother. A good torque wrench is about 100 bucks. A garage would do it much cheaper.
