I ordered a set of towing mirrors and they arrived the other day. I opened the box and checked that they were for the 2nd gen and not 3rd gen. A OK... box em back up.



Today I disassemble my truck. . door panels, mirrors off, ready for the towing mirrors. . unpack the right one and check it over (the one that I checked the day they came in). Then I unwrapped the left mirror and found this! Notice the mounting stud that is bent too. The box did not show any signs of damage, and the mirrors were wrapped nicely in a soft cloth bag and wrapped in bubble wrap.



My plan is to get a set of 3rd gen electric towing mirrors, and swap out the 2nd gen mounts so I have the electric/heated towing mirrors. I could stand to have broken glass since the electric mirrors glass will be used but what I really needed was the mounts which now one is broken... . &#*!. . I hope the outcome of this is painless. I'm going to be making some phone calls on Monday.

Contacted the seller, a Dodge dealership on the East Coast. They are going to send me a new set of towing mirrors! UPS

picked up the damaged set today. I wanted to take the good one out (should have) and let them have the damaged one since I think UPS is going to verify the damage and throw the whole thing into the dumpster.



So far so good.
