Is there any plans of a leveling kit down the road?

Dave

FWIW, I put a set of Rancho 9000X shocks all the way around on my 95' 3500 4x4. Made a considerable difference in the quality of ride. I have them set on 3 all the way around and haven't touched them since I put em on. HTHN

I recently replaced my Rancho 9000X with the HD Bilsteins from www.offroadwarehouse.com and I will never go back to the Ranchos. I don't tow anything and rarely have anything in the bed, but the ride with the Bilsteins is much "softer" than the Ranchos on the softest setting. I tried the Ranchos on every setting and it goes from no dampening where it feels like the tires leave the ground going over bumps, to kidney damaging stiff on the other end, with nothing comfortable in between. With the Bilsteins, it's no cadillac, but it is far more controlled and refined going over bumps, around curves, and especially the combination thereof. The was a portion of the Baltimore beltway with a series of bumps that I couldn't control the truck taking the curve at over 60 mph. With the new shocks, I have "tested" that curve and nearly 100mph (long story, involving a sport-bike, early morning, no one else around, yada yada yada) and would gladly do it again.

I have a 01. 5 QC SB 4x4 like you, bu I also have the Skyjacker leveling springs and 315/75/16 tires, so actual mileage may vary.

Just my 27,196 cents worth (the cost of the 4 shocks from ORW with the TDR discount)

Delliott,

I am very happy to hear you say that. I have the same truck as you and just bought my Bilstein's from ORW this week and Santa in the big brown truck just delivered them today and they are going in this weekend. I hope I have the same positive comments as you in a few days... .

I run monroe reflex shocks and michelin tires is a sweet ride just ask jetpilot he drove the turck and complimented on how nice of a ride it was Oo.

Tow a heavy TT and drive rough off road. The wife even likes the way the ride improved over stock on the street. Ain't saying that there aren't better choices for everyone else, but I have rode on Rancho's, Monroe's, and many others. For the money, the Bilstein HD's are your best bet unless you are looking for more.

I do have a 2 inch leveling kit up front if that helps any. I didn't know that they made the 5100 for our trucks? Are you guys runnin 35's with just a leveling kit? If so what size rims? mine are 16x8 could I do it?

RS 9000's here. I am happy with them, because they are adjustable and work very well. Probably more than I would need if I did not haul a slide-in camper.

I run 35's and leveling kit on 16x8s and it works great.

Are the zinc plated 5100's available for the 94-98. 5 trucks? If so, what are the part numbers? What I find at Geno's and ORW looks like the yellow/blue OEM replacements.
