Shock recommendation for 5”lift

I need new shocks and am looking for advice I have a 5” lift and am wondering what others are using with this type of setup. I have the skyjacker nitro and am looking for something softer Rancho 9000 I am told do not make them long enough.

I just put a set of rancho's on a customers truck which had a 5" kit on it. They were rancho's but the customer supplied an adapter to change the upper shock mount from a stud type to a eye type for the different shocks. He said all the stuff was for a jeep cherokee. It all bolted on fine and seemed to work fine when I road tested it. I'm sure you could make up the shock adapter as all it was is a "U" shaped piece of metal with two holes in it and a bolt sticking out the out the top. I was leary about doing the install but it seems to work just fine. With the different style shock mount it supposidly gives you unlimited options for shocks.



I'll see if I can find out some more info on it.
