Fifth Wheel Jacks broken

Black Soot from Water Heater

I have a 2008 dually 3500 with a Lance camper in the box. Total weight of truck and camper is around 12,000 lbs. I have installed Roadmaster sway bars and air bags. I would like to replace the shocks. Koni shocks have been recommended but I do not believe Koni makes shocks for that truck. And recommendations please?

Mick

The purpose of the shock is to keep the tire in contact with the ground, so weight of the truck shouldn't make any difference. Genos sells Bilsteins, I like Ranchos.

x2 on the Bilsteins...the Ranchos I had were junk....I have never had a Bilstein fail like the Ranchos did, adjustable is another path to failure.

If you really want a decent shock then go with KING 2.5 Piggyback, with this shocks you can drive like with a Car, no sway, no bump, nothing.
Rebuildable if necessary, never again need to buy new shocks after them.

Ozy is correct, King is the best! Sadly they are fabulously expensive....worth the money, but ouch.

900.-$ for the rear pair.
You don't need the front ones, it runs good with the rear ones only. Had it that way for a season because of lack of money, traveled Iceland that way.
From weight doesn't change a lot with or without the camper so the stockers work ok, not perfect but ok.
