I have 80K miles on my 2005 Quad Cab 3500 SRW. I have larger tires (315s) but no suspension lift.

I am going to replace my shocks.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Darin

I replaced mine a year ago with Bilsteins. It made a significant difference when I did over stock. And with no lift you cant beat them for the price, and a lifetime warr.

Bilstein warranty

I have a set of the Silver/Black 5100's waiting to go on. I bought them at Genos, during last summers "Buy 3/ 1 free" sale.

I did NOT realize that they have a lifetime warranty... . are you sure about that??

You know!, I actually read that here. Anyone else wanna chime in?

I did Bilstein (blue/yellow) from Geno's last November. The stock shocks were totally shot at 90K; the truck rode like a lumberwagon.

So far, so good with the Bilsteins.

I am going to go with the Pro Comp MX-6.

The 4 wheel parts guy was pretty helpful. I was going to do the Bilstein 5100s, but the MX6 ease of adjustment seemed like something I might like.

We will see how it goes.

I had in-cab adjustable Ranchos which, while appealing conceptually, did not work over time. I now have Edelbrock's and they're great for daily driving and towing our 36. 5' 5th wheel. The key measure is dw who commented on how civilized the truck rides all the time.

I am not doing in cab adjustment. I figure I will try some different settings and see what works best. I picked them up today. I hope to put them on this weekend. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I used to run the Rancho 9000's... More of a novelty than a good shock. I adjusted them becuase I felt I had to...

I figured I will play with the adjustments and see what works for what application. I don't really care as much about them being controllable from inside, but that can be cool. I have the FX-3 adjustable suspension on my 94 ZR-1 Corvette and you can really tell the difference in the different modes.
