Today in Mexicali I was involved in an accident, and thru a freak set of circumstances my right rear shock on a 2003 Kore chase suspension system was broken. Someone attempted to cut to the right of me while I was turning right onto a highway. The person scraped the side of the truck and it appears when we both turned there was no room for him, mostly because there was not a lane there and there was a curb. It this caused my truck to raise up on the right side and the shock came apart. I believe his car held the rear tire down while the truck body went up and over extended the shock. Gladly no one was hurt, he stopped briefly then shrugged his shoulders and left. I did get a license number but probably will do no good.

I have not been following any of the suspension threads and would like to have advice on how best to obtain an new shock with same valve set up. The reservoir on the shock seems fine but the fluid is totally gone and the shaft ? pulled out of the upper part of the shock. Is Kore still in business? Since I am traveling I don't have any of my information on the system with me.

After meeting with the insurance adjuster and policeman we drove on to San Felipe. The truck did not handle any differently on the highway and seemed to drive just fine, but I would like to the suspension put back in order.

I also have a Kore Chase system from back in that time frame and have just started looking at some shock repairs on my system. Kore is still around http://koreperformance.com/dodge-lift-kits/ However it appears that they have changed some stuff up at least from my chase system. I do know they changed some stuff up on the chase system right after I bought mine The chase system now appears to be their high end suspension with Fox Shocks. Their recon system uses bilsteins but they are the 5100 series and pretty sure the original chase system came with 7100 series, mine did anyway. If Kore cant help they may be willing to give you the valve specs and perhaps you could take it someplace and have it rebuilt. Another option might be to call Carli http://www.thecarlisuspension.com/ they use a 7100 series in one of the their systems that might be a good close match in valve profile assuming they will sell one shock. Interested in what you find out as I need to rebuild all of my shocks after about 150+k on them . The two rears have leaked oil, the right front a hole has rubbed through on the hose. Fortunately it is not my daily driver anymore so I have just started checking into this and hoping to do it once it warms up. -10f this morning not willing to freeze my rear off tearing apart the front end it can wait a couple more months at this point.

Definitely give Carli a call. Or Strapt Performance in AZ or CJC Offroad in CA. They all can take care of getting back up and going.

You can go to ntg racing in Santee Not to far from the border The can hook you up with a good Carli upgrade or repair what you have

Called Joe Salas at NTG racing in Santee, http://ntgracing.net/ntg-racing-about-us.htm Most helpful. had employee coming our way in San Felipe in a week who will take our shock back with him and they will see if it can be rebuilt, or propose an alternate. Most helpful and positive. Will let people know what the ultimate outcome is with rebuild etc. Thanks all for suggestions. Dan Torino at Carli Suspension also recommended NTG racing.

Quick update, NGT racing from Santee has been great.
Joe from Ntg racing arranged for a used replacement shock to be delivered to me in San Felipe, via a person involved in the tech inspection for the SCORE 250 race. Thanks a bunch Joe. Now awaiting his recommendation/results on trying to replace the broken shock. Will update when info available.

One of my King's shafts rusted here along the coast and Joe plugged in a Bilstein and sent mine off to his local shock guy in Santee. Week later,we were up and running. Joe and Pablo Madrid are amazingly knowledgeable and helpful.

You can always get shock parts at poly performance or the like. If you want KORE's extremely off the shelf valve stacks, search my name. I believe I posted it here somewhere. To my recollection it's a straight 10 stack compression and straight 15 stack rebound, front and rear.

Ohh... Sorry, you've the 7100. I took those apart to. I got a rebuild kit from eshocks with a bunch of valve stacks. Keep in mind KORE used Bilstiens digressive piston in those shocks. Very stiff. I'd say go to Carli and they can fix you up. But you might need more than just valve stacks.
