OK, just another shock thread. I was thinking of the Bilsteins, good pricing, if you shop around. However, just stopped by the local Les Schwab store, and they are selling their shocks for around $260 installed, claims comparable to the Bilsteins. They have a higher end shock that runs around $260 carry out that they claim is even better than the Bilsteins and the Rancho. They also carry the steering stabilizer in a Rancho, say that is the only thing that will fit, for $60 installed.

Question for all of the Northwesterners, any experience with the Les Schwab shocks?

The guy I was talking to, claims that he has had the Bilsteins and their shock is every bit as good, but then of course he is trying to sell me theirs.

The Les Schwab shocks both have a lifetime warranty, and you can trade up or down, if not happy with the performance, just for the difference in price.

TIA for any advice.

I bought the Bilsteins on the internet and had them installed for $80. 00. I paid $220 for the Bilsteins. So the whole deal cost me $300. 00. No tax on the shocks on the internet. So I am talking $300. 00 total. Now I have the best shocks that are warranted for life. I would not take a chance on the Les Schwab shocks for even $100. 00 in saving let alone less then $40. 00. They had a group offer on here awhile back that was a good deal on the Bilsteins, maybe someone will remember it and post the thread for you.

Shocks

The Bilstein deal was from offroadwarehouse if I rememeber correclty since the search is out and the price was between $50-60 each plus shipping.

I have have other Schwabbie products in the past and been pleased. It's more of the service you get that keeps pleople going back. I found one store that I will not go back to because of the managers inability to stand behind one of their products.

BE5-2550

I have no comment on the Les Schwab shocks

Better hurry

Just ordered from OFFROAD. They are back ordered until end of April. $60 each, they pay shipping. Works out the same as TDR deal for $55 plus shipping. Must be popular.

I just talked with Off Road Warehouse today, and they said the Bilsteins are on backorder and they expect to have them by the end of the month. He's got a batch on order and said about half of them are spoken for already.

Also, their website special for the Bilsteins is free shipping, so you might want to compare that with the TDR special. In my case, it was cheaper to take the free shipping.
