Any of you first geners out there run dual front shocks? Is there an out of the box setup available? I run KYB gas adjusts, was wondering what a dual setup would do for ride and shock longevity.

Patrick,
I order a set of dual shock brackets from
SKYJACKER and tried to install them last weekend, try being the key word here,
the right front installation went fine
so i started on the left, after moving the
brake line mounting bracket on the frame i mounted the new shock tower looked good not to bad of a job, then i mounted the bottom
bracket also easy, went to mount the shock and found that the shock would not fit past the stearing arm, so after some thinking and grinding and welding i modified the bottom brackets to clear the shock, turned the front wheels side to side and found that the drag link now hits under the shock on a hard right turn, so i did some more thinkin and decided that a 2" drop pitman arm might solve that problem (still waiting on the arm)

the rear kit, there is just no way it will work without completly rearanging the factory shock mounts and moving exhaust.

so to answer your question, yes there is a kit, but is it worth it NO! maybe another manufacturerhas a better kit but i have not found it yet, spend your money on a set of 9000 adjutables ... ... ... ... Rick

i did take pictures of the brakets and will email them if you would like, i will post them on my truck page soon

Rick- Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a nightmare. With all the work you put into that setup you probably could have done better starting with raw bar stock and fabricating the brackets and hoops yourself. I think I will do as you say and spend my money on other mods for the truck. Thanks again.
