I am a first time cummins owner and I want a shop book. I am wondering if the CDs are woth the price. I am also wandering if I would be better served getting a manuel stright from D/C
there is a copy of the 2003 factory manual in pdf format floating around the net. if you look around for it, you can download it for free... it is big though, like 80MB zipped...
I remember reading about several members who bought electronic copies on ebay, and though it may not have been original CD's (i. e. they were copies) they had the right stuff on them and so it was a good deal.
What you want are the Service Manuals.
www.techauthority.com is the D/C place to order. On a 2004, paper is 250, CD is 90. On a 2003 and earlier, 100 for paper, 90 for CD. If you have a 2004. 5, don't know if they have updated the 2004 manual to include the "600" changes yet.
