Need a quick education on lifts...

Portable workshop compressors - is "oil-free" really that bad?

I normally dont get work done here but I am going to. Does anyone that lives or have lived in Arizona know where there is a good body shop (i want to have BOMBS color matched), i want one that is going to take the paint code and all that such and match it vs looking at the color and just painting it.

I am also looking for what people know in the phoenix area for spray on bedliner. I know there is rhino, linex all those, but i want to know what people have experienced or what they know is a good place to go to

Thanks in advance.

You may want to try Salem Boys Auto.com & click on their "Best Body & Paint Shops in Phoenix" forum.

Mark Salem is pretty fussy about shops that get recommended, by him. Those shops really have to 'tow the line' to stay on his recommended list.

Regarding bedliners, I have heard that the ones that use the "Hot Process" for installation are the most durable. They can usually be identified by the smaller texture (stippling) in the material. The "Cold Process" seems to have to have large texture (almost like cottage cheese). The hot process drys almost instantaneously. So, on the ridges in the floor of the bed, the product doesn't have the time to slump into the 'valleys' of the bed. That way, the products thickness is still fairly thick on the top of the 'peaks'.

I went with Inyati. They use the "Hot Process" & were cheaper than Linex (who uses the same process). Cost was just under $300. 00 for the entire bed (full size) & on top of the rails. They did a very nice job & seemed to be quite fussy about the installation.

If you go to Inyati, ask them when they will have a sale or "show" price. The owner gave me a coupon for the "show" price & said it's good anytime you decide to use it. I, immediately, made an appointment for the next day. Have not been disappointed.

This Saturday, there will be a "Diesel Gathering" @ Mynes Performance in Mesa, on Southern just behind the Southern Ave. Car Wash (Between Mesa Dr. & Stapely). Time should be from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. They have a dyno & 3 runs should be about $50. 00. Hope you can make it. Probably get some good suggestions, also.

i had inyati spary an 01 dodge and they did a good job. Is there one shop you guys would prefer or is there only 1 inyati shop in the valley?

Hi Fred,

I sure plan on being there. With this heat & humidity, I guess I'll just put on an extra layer of deodorant, or two.

MHLBR,

I went to the store on Mcdowell, just west of I-17. They have been there forever &, I believe, their first store. That's where I met the owner & got the coupon. I had the Inyati installed in '03, on my '03, so, prices may have gone up, since then.

Hope you & Fred can make it, on Saturday.

Hi Mark,

They are supposed to have two grills, at this event. More information can be found on the DTR in the "Arizona" forum.

How have you been doing? Staying cool in that nice, balmy Las Vegas weather? Probably as cool as I have been, here in Phoenix. Should have bought stock in a couple of deodorant companys. Wouldn't have felt so bad about the heat. It was 115 degrees when I got home from work at about 6:00 PM, today. Ridiculous!!!
