Replaced the fuel filters at 14000+ miles when I had the oil changed at the dealer, they did both.
I have less than 5000 miles on the filters and am down to REPLACE FILTERS on the EVIC, the oil change is at 70%.
Both were reset at the time of the oil change and were coming down together as far as % until change, then bang change fuel filters.

Truck build date is Jan 2014 and has 18,700 miles on it.

:confused:What would cause a short cycle of the fuel filters?

:confused:Where is the sensor that detects the quality of the filter other than miles driven & gal of fuel used?

Any help is appreciated.

Common problem, there's a reflash for it. Bring it in to your dealer.

Go to the second page in this forum and click on the Fuel Filter Change thread. Lots of good reading.

After reflash my 13 (not sure what it was for) My filter life showed 22% left and I only had 400 miles on them. I reset and everything is normal so I assume the reflash just glitched the filter reading somehow. I now show 94% life left after 800 miles towing and that feels about right

Thanks for your replies.
I had the ABS flash and another flash done, after that is when the value went down.
I have done a reset for the fuel filters and everything seems to be running OK.

I don't quite trust the software, but also don't trust ful quality regarding fine particulates. I changed my filters at 13k and 26k. I carry a spare pair of filters on trips just in case I get some bad fuel.

I agree with Joe in the past carrying a spare fuel filter saved my day up on the AlCan Highway hauling my fifth while far from any where to get the filter yet alone replaced, but that was on my 06. I carry spares right now for my 13 just for the same reason, it's an easy repair on the road's shoulder in a pinch.

My 2014 did the exact same thing after my son took it in for 3 computer flashes. At 3100 miles, the filter life went down to 5%. Sounds like I just need to reset it. As always, I knew I could fine the answer here.
