Bowhunting Fever

I have a short (700k) video of a motorhome towing a Dodge Cummins 2500 on a trailer. We were in Florida and joined the evaucation for the last hurricane.

This guy was all over the road and continued running at 65MPH. You could see where one of the trailer tires was about to blow from heat caused by the swaying.

It's amazing that someone could be so stupid to drive like this for miles and miles. After I shot this I decided to go on and not wait for the pileup after he lost a tire. I cant believe that anyone is stupid enough to continue towing a mess like this.

PM me and I will send the Windows Media file.

The trailer was pretty overloaded by the looks of the bowed out axles. Probably has 2 worn out 3500 lb axles with a 7k lb truck. Not a good combination.

YUP - and those are the SAME drivers who will absolutely SWEAR as to what excellent and careful drivers they are - and that adhering to safe towing weights and loading are only for the feeble minded who are so dumb they actually follow the vehicle/trailer builder's recommendations...

looked like he had a pretty good sized RV, diesel pusher? He probably didn't even know that the trailer was doing that. John

It was a diesel bus, huge. He knew it because the trailer was pushing the bus around and he was white knuckling the steering wheel.

We did hang back and then pass rather quickly.

It's guys like this that help me with BOMBing my truck.

You see, being able to pass someone quickly, and go from 65-95 in 2. 03 seconds is a SAFETY FEATURE.

That's why I MUST bomb my truck to very high HP level. It's all about the SAFETY.

All the time

I see this kind of stuff all the time on 99 and I5 around here, I give these guys lots of room and will pull over and sit on an off ramp to give them time to get ahead of me. Its really bad during the summer with motorhomes and trailers, you know these guys only tow a couple of times per year and they are scary. I get passed all the time by pickups towing large boats at 70+ mph in the fast lane with the boat just dancing around on the little tiny under-inflated tires, I have yet to see one crash but thats just a matter of time... ... ... .
