Placement of Brake Controller in 2012 2500

I have a 2007. 5, 6. 7 stock with a 6 speed manual. Hauling my Host Truck Camper and towing my Lund 1800 Explorer I'm running 2000 RPM, about 65 mph, but the coolant temp runs a little warm, just over 200 per the gauge. Coolant level shows full, no symptoms like smoke or loss of power, doesn't smell hot. Is this just too fast for the load it's carrying or should I even be concerned?

Seems OK to me, but when your climbing grades keep the RPM's up @ 23-2500 RPM to help with EGT's and the transmission. The G56 doesn't like lugging and fill it over by one quart of whatever oil your running. BTW it wouldn't hurt to run a trans cooler on the drivers side off of the PTO. Also, 200* coolant temp seems normal to me.

i am about the same as poster i know my radiator is dirty i usally run a little cooler time to pull it and pressure wash radiator as i never have done it (you can't clean it in the truck to any decent satisfaction -as i have tried)

Just pulled some good grades going to Julian Ca. towing a 14k 5er with AC running maybe 214 f off of the scangageII so it's accurate . So Ditto Bob

Cruising along I90 heading West thru SD this part Mon coming back from Columbus with my truck and slide in camper ( 12k # ) my temp gauge read about 192 ( aftermarket gauge ). It was 95*F. I did hit 195 further West in the hills doing 70mph on cruise at 2100 RPM in 6th gear. Shad
