I found an 89 with 200k, auto, body ok, std cab, radio and a/c do not work and injector pump on last leg. I have had a few 92 and 93's and do not know much about the 89's. What I need in an engine for a project, so this would be a donor truck. Also what does it take to use this engine in a 92? Thanks!!! :)

That would be a deal. You could part it out and make three times as much. An injection pump can run between $500-$1200. I don't think there's too many differences between the 89 and the 1992's-1993's. As for swapping the 1989 into a newer one it would bolt right up, but the engine is not intercooled. You could use the existing intercooler from the 1992, probably would have to use the intake manifold and the hoses off of the old one. If I could buy one for that price, I would have the pump rebuilt, check the timing bolts/KDP to see that they are where they should be:rolleyes:, install the engine in a 1992 if that was the intention, then part the rest of the 1989 out. Hope this helps.

$1500 hmm. . 2wd or 4wd? Coal City hmm I wonder where thats at in the Stinken Lincoln... ;) Heck if it runs that would be a deal. Heck if 4wd even better a deal, I might have to get there first. . Bill

I will know by Tuesday if I am going to buy it. The guy is going out of town for the holiday weekend. I am supposed to talk to him Monday night at let him know if I want it. If I do not I will post his info and you guys can have it. Karl:D
