Okay, did something stupid this weekend. I goofed and accidently launched the atv up the ramps and rammed the front of the bed. Bent it until it almost touches the cab. Somehow avoided breaking the window.

I pulled the bed back a little to ensure it wouldn't rub. But now I need to decide do I fix it? Fix it good or just pull it out more? I want to at least pull it out so that if I bump it again it won't cause damage to the cab.

So, what do you guys think? Pull it out and forget it? Or take it to a pro and let them fix it.

I think I'd just bend it back some more... . my trucks all work. . and we try hard not to dent, scratch the outside... but frankly the inside of the beds look really rough even though we've put a spray lining in the beds.....

We had a customer hit the side, I thought it would be a 450 dent and turned out because of paint to be almost 1200. 00... ... we buffed it out and you can hardly tell.....

So, I guess I vote to bend it back and not repair... .

Oh, and how much could it possibly cost manufacturer's in money and weight to put some type of cross member in there?

I agree. I believe it depends on how long you are going to keep the truck and how particular you are about it. If it were me, and I was going to continue to haul in it on a regular basis, I would pull it enough to keep it from rubbing the cab and not worry about it.

Another vote for "bend it back".

If it really bothers you (it would me), look for a take-off bed to replace it with. You've got time to find one that's even the right color. That could save a bundle over repairing what you have.

Oh, and chicks love body damage... right?

if it was me id pull the bed. bend it out. reinforce it and rhino line it... of course i live by the motto "if you break something fix it bigger and better"

Not a problem. In fact, that was a good one! I hadn't even noticed the color of your truck.

I'd pull it out the same way you bent it... . with the quad! :) I put a headache rack on mine, works well to prevent that... and because my quad hasa a winch which would launch into my back window before the bumper ever hit the back of the bed.
