Well, my new Edge Comp is on the way from Edge Products, however I've been reading several past posts that my VP 44

could fail after only 30 min with the wire hooked up.

I have 87K on my Y2K Cummins. Should I worry about this?

Bob in Sacramento.

"You are your own Warranty Station" You've heard it here before. Hook up that pump wire, and your're on your own for the rest of that 100K engine warranty. You're pretty close as it is, so go for it if you want, but just make sure you have the money to fix what could break.

if your worried sell it before you use it. .

However very few rigs have reported this issue... more from hook up procedures with use of Chips top cover than failed injector pumps... [and Chips cover is good if you use it right also]

BTW. . the pin prick devise that Edge has is a very good way to hook it up also. . that's how I did mine as I don't like scotch locks personaly

pin prick devise

Willy-you mentioned the pin prick attachment for the edge box. I just installed a new vp44 & want to re-install the BANKS OTTOMIND. I also am not fond of the scotch tap. How does the pin prick attachment work of install?
