Should we delete the post count and have something else in place or it??

I agree with other members who feel that some members post topics only to get their post count up, or to be the highest nenew topic starter. . Should we put something else in its place?? Should we not have a post counter?? Maybe all members should be able to rate posts, and that rating would be included in the post starters profile. Maybe that would cut down on junk topics.
