The twins are gonna look sweet on this one. :D The fuel lines and intake are coated as well.

This motor is being built by fellow board member MDW. We were planning on just installing a new head on the motor in his truck but found a horizontal crack in the #6 cylinder wall. Since he had a couple of motors laying around, he decided to build one from the ground up.

The pistons are coated with two different coating. The tops are coated in ceramic, with the skirts and main and rod bearings being coated with a dry film lube by Polymer Dynamics here in Houston.

With a set of Prince injectors, PDR cam, and twin turbos this thing's definately gonna have show and go.

Beautiful motor! I wish I could just find the time to clean mine off.

Have to show us more pictures when it's done.

What's funny is that Michael was in the shop just last week picking up his cam. We were talking about our motor plans since we were both doing buildups at the same time.

I told him I was going to paint my block red. He says, he thought it would be TOO much and the detail would be lost in too much color.

:)

Now I see that he simply assembled the motor and dipped the entire assembly down in a vat of red paint. :) hehe.

So much for holding on to the detail, eh Michael?

No, seriously, it looks great.

Before anyone else asks, may I have the first race this Saturday?

Chris: Yes you may have the first dance :)

Thanks to all who are helping, to say the least its been a concerted effort by many.

More pics to come, I hope it runs half as good as it looks :)

Way to go Mike, it looks awsome!!!!!! Love the RED :D

P. S. Good luck to all in San Antonio, work (side line job) will more than likely keep me here. If all goes EXACTLY as planned, I may make Sunday. But we all know how exactly usually goes

:)

That is sure an improvement over the Cummins color. With some chrome on that thing, it will really stand out. What a "show and shine" potential you have there.
