Ok, I sold my regular cab 2500 and just purchased a 2006 3500 Quad Cab 4x4 dually. I want to install some mud flaps since I tow boats and want to keep from throwing a stone into the nice gelcoat of an expensive boat.

What brand or type do you use and like. Any photos?

I saw some molded flaps that are vehicle specific from Husky liner that I like, but I don't know of anyone that has them.

Thanks.

No help no the mudflaps, but wanted to say hi... good to see someone else from Knoxville here! Let me know if you need any help with the installs on the '06. I'm right in the middle of a bunch of stuff myself.

And how 'bout some pics of the new ride? --Eric

Husky molded flaps with a little custom logo work done. They have done the job for me. They have been on for over two and a half years now and no paint chips, even with the BFG All Terrain 315s that throw lots of rocks.

Pretty much sums my job up ;)

Oh, except for the computer & mouse part, but I couldn't find a mud flap with that on it. Come to think of it I didn't see any axe & saw, sweat & dirt, horse poop & flies, hot & dry, or wet & cold flaps either :-laf

I know that they aren't a daully or a 3rd gen but here are some pics of what we did on my brother's truck. They are made from the hard plastic mudflaps from the local truck stop and some chrome pieces are also from there. Pretty cheap and they last way longer than the flexible rubber ones. Hope this is helpful.

You can go back to the dealer and he will install a set for free. They are mandatory on all dual wheell trucks or trailers. DOT regs.

If they give you any slack, just go down to your local License & Weight Office and they'll straighten it out.

I went with the $10 set from Pep Boys.

Slap the Cummins emblem on it.

They are too light for a dually but I like them on my SRW. .

Oops! I guess I don't have pics of mine. They are like smitty3500's flaps, but I have front and rear, and my rear have CUMMINS etched in. I love em!

Here are my rear flaps. I got the Mopar dually mudflaps from geno's, and then took some scrap aluminum diamondplate (too bad we dont have stainless) from work and cut angles to make a nice finished look, and then bolted the pieces onto the rubber mudflap using 1/4" bolts and nice wide washers so the bolts won't pull out of the rubber. This gives a nice look as well as lowering the edge toward the ground for less rearward spray.

I don't have pics (and it's too darn cold outside), but I just went with the Mopar rubber ones front and rear. They've held up well with all the snow and ice and below zero temps)
