Hey all,

Not really sure how long this has been going on, but if I remember correctly, I'd say that it's been for the last 4k miles or so, since I changed transmission fluid last.

I'm running fairly cheap fluid (like $3. 50/quart), as I change it every 10k and it was recommended to me by Bill K. to run the cheapest stuff that wouldn't shudder and change it often.

When my pickup shifts from 3rd to 4th lockup at lower RPM's, I have some "kick" or what feels like a couple jerks for a second, then it feels firm again. Is this shudder? It feels like the same thing that happens when my turbo barks (totally other problem though), but is definitely in the transmission.

Will better fluid fix this? What fluid should I run? (don't wanna run synthetic really considering I change it often).

Thanks, Josh
