Got a real bad shudder when trans goes into lockup under medium/light throttle. turn the comp off no shudder. I figured Im overpowering the lockup clutch, but I have a superchip laying around the house so I thought I'd try It to see If it was the comp, and no shudder with superchip. Ive done searches and found could be comp or most likley torque converter dying.

could this be trans or fueling issue?

How long since fluid change? While it's time to start saving money for a TC most shudder is fluid related. Flush fluid and adj bands. Add a bottle, red one, of lube guard to trans and don't accel hard when rpm is low. 47re fluid flow is tied to pedal position so drive easy OD off in city driving helps alot.

Been there done that and made almost 100k on trans.

its about time to flush the trans, fluid not real bad, but its time. Ive changed the filter and adjusted bands about 10k ago. Im scared to fluish, dont want to make it worse than it allready is since ive been told flushing a trans when its all ready slipping purty much kills whats left of the friction materials.

Tryed the lubeguard on tuesday hasnt changed since, still shuddering. Ive been doing some looking aroung on the site and others and its possible I need a vp. Ive got 0216, maybe thats my problem. with the comp off no shudder comp on shudder, I think Im going to have to reach into my empty wallet and get a vp soon befor the truck leavs me stranded.
