I own a 2000 Dodge 2500 with Cummins engine. I have an automatic with a 3:54 rear end with limited slip. My mileage is 11,400. It has the camper special and tow package on it.
Problem-when hauling my 5th wheel camper (GVW 11,000 and within the published hauling limits) I get a shudder only for an instant when starting from a stand still. Recently, one of our TDR members suggested that I have my dealer lower the drive shaft center bearing by 1/4" to change the drive shaft angle. I did with no improvement. Is there anyone else that has had this problem and how was it resolved? I am heading to Florida in 3 weeks and could sure use some suggestions.
