Shuddering/shaking low gears

Test drove a 93 cc w250 5 sp tonight and it has a vibration in the first 2 gears only. Had a 91 d250 and it did the same thing in first only. What causes this?

First of all is the extended cab? 1. If so check to see if there is a 1/2 inch plate in between the center carrier bearing mount and the frame - if not there was a TSB out regarding drive line alignment that has not been done. 2 Possible clutch problems. 3. If the idle is too high it will also shudder in 1st & 2nd. 4 Some "launch shudder" is normal. Hope this helps.

If you put the 1/2 inch spacer under the carrier bearing mount, do you have to put in the wedges under the axle. Or do you have to change the angle on the rear axle to.
