Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Shut down squeek

Okay, for the first 6 months I owned my truck, the shut down "squeek" didnt' bother me too bad... . kind of a novelty. After a year now it's getting kind of irritating. It does it every time I shut the truck down.



Any idea how to make it stop, or not do it so much? Would a new belt help?

Gatorback Goodyear belt got rid of it for me.



Do a search and you'll get the part number. I can't remember off the top of my head what it was.



I did a quick search : Goodyear part number 4080810. Ordered mine at Autozone for around $22.

i have a horton it doesnt squeek on shut down just any other time it can be annoying. When i first heard it i thought it was my wastegate or something. I didnt know anything about em seeing as how this is my first diesel.
