Archived shut off wont start

i got an edge juice with attitude today and i had it on level 3 and punched it it reved out then the edge beeped a couple of times and the truck shut off. i coasted to a stop and tried to start it. it will turn over but wont fire. i cracked the fuel lines and im not getting any fuel to the injectors. th lift pump is still pushing 12 psi. there is a check engine light on.

I agree. Sounds like an injection pump failure. The most common associated code will be p0216 that means "Injection pump internal timing failure". Depending on how the pump failed, there may or may not be a code. I have seen several, along with one on my former '01, fail without codes.

i pluged in a code reader i got off a snap on guy and got these codes... p0237and p1693. i also disconected the edge and it wont fire that way either.

OK, time to go old school.

You said you are getting fuel pressure, is that pre or post filter?

Bump the starter to cycle the lift pump and crack open the fuel return line at the VP44. Fuel flow?

Double check your fuses in the PDC under the hood.

Double check the VP44 connection that it is connected and tight.

Check some of the other threads for no start issues. There is a link in most of them to Blue Chip Diesel (I think) for doing diagnostics and checks on the pump.

P0237 is a map sensor code - voltage too low.
