Can someone please tell me what size and thread pitch the bolts are that hold the shutoff solenoid to the injection pump ?

I think the holes are messed up might need to tap to a different size and length but that will give me something to go off of

Well the shutoff solenoid was about to fall off the injection pump one bolt is broke off the other one is stripped i was able to get a bigger sae bolt to hold in the one hole now hopefully I can get the broke bolt out . That was the cause of the low power output

Anybody have any pics of the install of the cable that replaces the electric fuel shutoff solenoid ? Found a couple threads but the pictures are gone

I have a few on my laptop at home. I'll try to remember to post them up when I get off.

Can't get your solenoid to work?

The back bolt is broke off don't think I can get to it to drill without pulling the maser cylinder and the front bolt is stripped im going to try a 1/4 inch helli coil since that's the only size that will fit I don't know if there's enough material there to drill and tap that big though . So if you could post pics that would be great

Almost forgot. Here ya go:

It's not my setup and those cables never came stock from Cummins, I just saved those from other posts from this and other forums just in case.

I did research the International shut-off cable used on the P-pumped DT466 that came on some older buses we had. Here's an image with part numbers. It ain't cheap and may not even be available anymore.

Seth installed a manual shut off cable on one of his previous trucks. I didn't like it because pushed in was off and pulled out was run.

If I were to do so I would either get a longer cable or a different arm so out was off.

Also if it was an automatic I would spring load the arm to return to run. I've operated equipment that has that style of shut down...

On the other hand have seen bucket loaders idle all night in a gravel pit because someone loaded up a wheeler full of dirt and then couldn't figure out how to shut the loader down. Cats with the throttle pedal that had to pulled up for engine shutdown got a lot of extra idle hours as well....
